Flow Magazine

FOR THE LOVE OF DRINK

Submissions are Open

for Issue #1

Requirements

  • We publish work about beverages. We like to think of Flow as the literary equivalent of a coffee house, so while all drinks are welcome here, we are particularly interested in work about coffee, tea, and other caffeinated things. Whether your drink of choice makes a short appearance or is the central theme of the piece is up to you.

  • One submission per person, per issue, if you please. If you would like to submit to multiple genres, please keep it to one submission per genre, per issue.

  • Include a cover letter, a brief bio, and your current writerly drink of choice.

  • We will consider previously published work, but please indicate this in your cover letter and include the previous publication credit(s).

  • Simultaneous submissions should also be noted in your cover letter. If a piece is accepted elsewhere, please email editor@flowlitmag.com to withdraw.

  • Please brew your words the old fashioned way. We don't accept AI submissions.

Poetry

1-3 poems per submission.

Poems of all sorts are welcome. Give us something to savor, something that goes down easy but stays on the tongue.

Flash Fiction

1-2 pieces per submission.

We accept flash fiction up to 750 words in length. We're looking for a few sips of genius, like a 12 ounce latte.

Hybrid

1-2 pieces per submission.

Your thing doesn't fit neatly into one category? We get it. There would be no Arnold Palmer if no one experimented with iced tea and lemonade. We ask that each hybrid piece be under 750 words and/or 3 pages in length.
